Scan the exposed cards before drawing. A run can climb or descend and even cross between King and Ace, so a single stock card may support several removals if you choose its first step well.
Rules and objective
- Seven open columns hold five cards each. The remaining cards form the stock and one starting discard.
- Play an exposed column card one rank higher or lower than the discard, regardless of suit. Ace and King connect.
- Tap the stock for a fresh discard. There is one pass, no tableau building and no refilling empty columns.
- Clear all seven columns to win. Unused stock cards do not matter.

Strategy: how to play better
First priority
Compare both directions before playing. A longer run can save a stock card.
Count the whole rank path
Ace connects to King in this version. Trace several possible next ranks before choosing a visible card; a short move may break a much longer chain.
Spend stock cards sparingly
There is only one pass through the stock. Use visible tableau cards first when they can continue a run, and draw when no productive step remains.
