Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
🔒 Short version: We collect very little data, we never sell it, and you can play without creating an account.
Contents
1. What we collect
Solitaire-Online.com is designed to be a minimal-data service. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to play our games.
When you visit the site, our web server may automatically record:
- Your IP address (anonymised within 24 hours)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on each
- The referring page that brought you to us
This information is used solely to maintain site security, diagnose technical problems, and understand general usage patterns. It is never used to identify individual users.
2. Local storage & cookies
To remember your game preferences (such as draw amount, animation speed, and background colour) and to track your personal statistics (win ratio, best time, best score), we use your browser's localStorage. This data:
- Stays on your device — it is never sent to our servers
- Is not accessible by any third party
- Can be cleared at any time via your browser settings or the "Reset statistics" option in the game Settings panel
We use a small number of functional cookies necessary for the site to operate correctly (e.g. remembering your session preferences). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
3. Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, anonymised analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate — for example, which games are most popular and which devices are most common. Any analytics tool we use is configured to:
- Anonymise IP addresses before storage
- Not use cross-site tracking
- Not share data with advertising networks
You can opt out of analytics by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser, which we honour.
4. Third-party services
Solitaire-Online.com may use the following third-party services:
- CDN / hosting: To serve the site quickly to users worldwide. Your IP may be visible to our CDN provider to route traffic.
- Contact form: Messages submitted via our Contact page are transmitted securely to our email inbox. We do not use the email address you provide for any purpose other than replying to your enquiry.
We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing, or any behavioural advertising technology.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:
- Right to access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of any personal data we hold. Because we hold very little, the main action is clearing your browser's localStorage.
- Right to object: Object to any processing of your personal data.
- GDPR (EU/UK): You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- CCPA (California): We do not sell personal information. California residents may contact us to exercise their rights.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
6. Children's privacy
Our games are suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
8. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please reach out via our Contact page.
We will respond within 5 business days.
