Spider Solitaire uses two full decks of 52 cards (104 cards total). Cards are dealt across 10 tableau columns and your goal is to build complete sequences from King down to Ace in the same suit, then remove those sequences to the foundations. Clear all 8 foundations to win.

How to Play Spider Solitaire

• The tableau: 10 columns of cards. Columns 0–3 start with 6 cards, columns 4–9 start with 5 cards. Only the top card of each column is face-up at the start.
• Moving cards: You can move any face-up card onto a card that is one rank higher, regardless of suit. For example, a 7 of Hearts can go onto an 8 of any suit.
• Moving stacks: You can only move a group of cards together if they form a consecutive same-suit sequence. Mixed-suit runs can only be moved one card at a time.
• The stock: There are 5 groups of 10 cards in reserve. Click the stock to deal one card face-up to each of the 10 columns. You may only deal when there are no empty columns.
• Completing a sequence: When a complete King-to-Ace same-suit sequence forms at the bottom of any column, it is automatically removed to a foundation slot and you score +100 points.
• Empty columns: Any card or valid sequence can be placed in an empty column.

• Start score: 500 points
• Each move: −1 point
• Completing a K–A same-suit sequence: +100 points

Difficulty Levels

• 1 Suit (Spades only): All 104 cards are spades. Every move builds same-suit sequences. Best for beginners.
• 2 Suits (Spades & Hearts): Cards are drawn from two suits. More strategic planning required.
• 4 Suits: All four suits are in play. Only about 0.3% of random 4-suit games are unwinnable. The hardest and most rewarding mode.

Tips & Strategy

• Build same-suit sequences whenever possible — mixed runs are nearly impossible to move as a group.
• Keep empty columns free to use as temporary storage for awkward cards.
• Don't deal from the stock unless you are truly stuck — each deal may bury cards you need.
• Try to uncover face-down cards early to reveal more options.
• In 4 Suits mode, plan several moves ahead before committing to a sequence.
