About Baker’s Dozen Solitaire

Thirteen small piles make an inviting open puzzle. Your next breakthrough is already somewhere on the table.

Play free with tap or drag controls, sounds, hints and unlimited undo. Your unfinished deal saves in this browser, and a daily challenge offers a fresh shared deal.

How to play Baker’s Dozen

  1. Thirteen piles start with four face-up cards each, arranged in two rows. Kings start underneath the other cards in their piles.
  2. Build four foundations upward from Ace to King in suit. Cards placed there stay there in this version.
  3. Build tableau piles downward by rank, regardless of color or suit.
  4. Move only the exposed top card. Groups cannot move together.
  5. Empty piles stay empty. There is no stock or redeal. Move all 52 cards to the foundations to win.

Tips for winning

Look beneath a card before covering it. A low card you need soon can become trapped under a tempting build.

Frequently asked questions

Can a King fill an empty pile?

No. Once a tableau pile is empty, it cannot receive more cards.

Can every deal be won?

Deals are randomly shuffled, so a win is not guaranteed. Use undo to explore another approach, restart the same deal, or try a new shuffle.
