SolitaireYukon Solitaire at a glance
Yukon solitaire looks like Klondike at first glance, with seven columns, four foundations and alternating colours, but plays completely differently. Every card is dealt at the start (there is no stock pile), and you may pick up any face-up card along with everything stacked on top of it, whether or not those cards are in order.
That one rule turns the game inside out: instead of patiently waiting for the stock, you excavate. Great sprawling moves that carry half a column are legal, as long as the card you grab lands on the right target.

Rules and objective
- All 52 cards are dealt at the start; 21 begin face down.
- Move any face-up card together with every card on top of it. The moving pile does not need to be in order.
- The grabbed card must land on a card one rank higher of the opposite colour.
- Only Kings may be moved onto empty columns.
- Build the foundations Ace to King in suit to win.

Strategy: how to play better
- Uncovering face-down cards is everything. Prefer moves that dig, however messy they look.
- Messy piles are fine as long as the bottom card of the group has somewhere to land later.
- Empty columns are rarer than in Klondike; think hard before spending one.
Frequently asked questions
How is Yukon different from Klondike?
There is no stock pile because every card is dealt at the start, and you may move any face-up card with all the cards sitting on top of it, even out of order. Only the bottom card of the moving group has to fit its target.
Do the cards I move have to be in sequence?
No. That is Yukon’s signature rule: the group can be any jumble, as long as the card you grab lands legally.
Is Yukon harder than Klondike?
It is roughly comparable, but fairer: with no stock cycle, more of the outcome is in your hands, and fewer deals are lost to pure bad luck.
