Spider Solitaire 4 Suits uses two full decks: hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades, with two copies of every card. Your goal is to remove eight complete runs, each running from King to Ace in one suit. This page starts a fresh game in four-suit mode, free in your browser, with hints and undo.
The challenge is keeping cards movable. You can put a red 9 on a black 10, or a club 9 on a heart 10, but you cannot move that mixed pair together. A 10 of hearts with a 9 of hearts below it can move as a unit onto any Jack. With four suits in play, empty columns become essential for separating mixed sequences.

Rules and objective
- Start with 104 cards. Ten columns hold 54 cards: six in each of the first four columns and five in each of the other six. Only the bottom card of each column is face up. The remaining 50 cards form the stock.
- Build down by one rank. Place a 7 on an 8 regardless of suit. A group can move together only if it descends in a single suit.
- Uncover hidden cards. Removing the last face-up card from a column turns the next hidden card face up.
- Use empty columns. Any single card or valid same-suit run may fill one. You must fill every column before dealing from the stock.
- Deal a row when needed. Clicking the stock adds one face-up card to every column. There are five stock deals of ten cards each.
- Complete eight runs. A same-suit King-to-Ace run is removed automatically. Clear all eight runs to win.
The table enforces legal moves and saves the current deal in this browser. Hints identify a move that is available now; they do not guarantee that the deal can still be won.
Strategy: how to play better
- Compare what a move reveals. If two moves uncover the same hidden card, prefer the one that joins matching suits. A mixed build may still be worthwhile when it opens a blocked column.
- Plan how to undo a mixed stack. Before putting the 9 of clubs on the 10 of hearts, look for a spare 10 or an empty column that could later take that 9.
- Keep an empty column useful. A short run is easier to move out again than a long, mixed stack. Avoid filling your only workspace with cards you cannot relocate.
- Check all ten columns before a stock deal. Reveal accessible hidden cards and join matching runs first. Then fill empty columns with cards you can recover; the incoming row may block them.
- Use undo to compare decisions. Try a different order when a move closes your options. A hint shows a legal move, not a guaranteed route to a win.
