About Double FreeCell Solitaire

Two decks, six cells, and four foundations that each travel from Ace to King twice.

Play with your favorite card artwork and the same familiar controls as our other games. Your progress saves automatically in this browser. Try a new shuffle or the daily deal whenever you like.

How to play Double FreeCell

  1. One Ace starts each foundation. Deal the other hundred cards face up into ten columns of ten. Six cells start empty.
  2. Build down in alternating colors. Any card or valid run fills an empty column.
  3. Each cell holds one card. Group shortcuts need enough empty cells and spare empty columns for individual moves; the destination is not a spare.
  4. Each same-suit foundation builds Ace through King, then a second Ace through King. The second Ace cannot be played early. Tableau runs do not wrap.
  5. Fill all four foundations with 26 cards each to win.

Tips for winning

Keep the second Aces accessible while building the first circuit of each suit.

Frequently asked questions

Can every deal be won?

No. Deals are shuffled and are not guaranteed to be solvable. Hints show available moves, not a promise of a winning solution.

Can I undo a move?

Yes. Use Undo to explore another route before the game ends. Foundation cards and removed cards stay in place unless you undo; they cannot be moved back manually in this version.

How does the daily challenge work?

The daily challenge uses a shared seeded deal for this game and date. Your regular game and daily progress are stored separately in your browser.
