Rules and objective
- The Ace of Hearts starts the foundation. Seventeen fans hold three face-up cards each. There is no stock.
- Play any exposed fan card one rank above or below the foundation, regardless of suit. Ace and King connect.
- Only the top card of each fan can move. No building or refilling is allowed on fans.
- Move all 51 fan cards to the foundation to win.

Strategy: how to play better
First priority
Choose moves that open several fans before using every card of a particular rank.
Look beyond the next rank
Ace and King connect. Before playing an exposed card, trace whether its successor can be reached from another fan.
Keep several fans active
A move that empties one fan may be less useful than one that exposes a new rank in a blocked fan. Preserve alternative branches.
