About Double Solitaire
Double Solitaire gives each player a full Klondike layout and deck, then turns the familiar solo game into a contest. Both players race or take turns using eight shared foundations.
Our browser version supports classic turn-based play and a faster simultaneous Race mode. Invite a friend with a private room code, find another player online, or practice against the computer.
How to play Double Solitaire
- Each player starts with a seven-column Klondike tableau, stock and waste.
- Build tableau columns downward in alternating colors. Only Kings fill empty columns.
- Build the eight shared foundations upward by suit from Ace to King.
- Classic mode uses turns and Draw 1; drawing ends your turn. Race mode lets both players move together and uses Draw 3.
- The first player to move all 52 cards to the shared foundations wins.
Tips for a better game
- Expose face-down tableau cards before making low-value foundation moves.
- Watch all eight foundations: your opponent can use the space you create.
- In Race mode, keep moving; in Classic mode, use the opponent’s turn to plan.

Is Double Solitaire played at the same time?
It can be. Race mode is simultaneous, while Classic mode alternates turns. Choose the style you prefer before creating a table.
